Namibian Tours: Stepping Into Southern Namibia For A Desert Safari Experience
Where does your Namibian Tour experience start? Southern Cross Adventures operates from Namaqualand's capital, Springbok, but also meets their clients at Grünau and Windhoek in Namibia.
Southern Cross Adventures applies the tailor made approach by giving an outline of the proposed Namibian safari and then communicate with the client around his/her expectations.

Southern Namibia: 8 to 10 days

Day 1: Depart from the high grounds of Springbok via panoramic roads to Namaqualand diamond coast for overnight at a working farm close to the sea. Open air restaurant dinner.
Day 2: North to the Orange river via Port Nolloth, Alexanderbaai, Sendelingsdrift. Overnight in the Richtersveld national park in camping facilities.
Day 3, 4, 5: Daily drives in the Richtersveld National Park flexible around where to stay and a choice between camping and guest house accommodation. The programme is determined by group size and around the value of the visitor experience.
Day 6: Cross the Orange river at Sendelingsdrift driving through the rugged land to Aus.
Day 7: Explore Koichab pan with unique thorn trees, wild horses and high dunes. Via Aus to Vogelstrauskluft Lodge, for Lodge dinner and bed.
Day 8: Several options:
- Day trip to Fish River canyon and lunch in canyon.
- Explore the Fish River Canyon from the look out points.
- 1 night camping in the canyon, 4X4, short hiking routes. Deep in the canyon the stars are always brighter - sundowner, dinner at the camp fire.
Day 9: 5 hour hiking route in the canyon. Back to Lodge for Lodge dinner and bed.
Day 10: To Upington airport for your flight to next destination.
