REGIONS: The tour will take you from the Fairest Cape Region via the Swartland to the Bokkeveld escarp to the Southern tip of Namakwaland and via the West Coast back to the Fairest Cape Region.

ITINERARY
Day 1: DBB You will be met at Cape Town International or your accommodation and transferred to Paarl for ****Historic guest house accommodation.
Guests from nearby can park their vehicles safely at Zomerlust Gastehuis. Guided Paarl walkabout, traditional Boland food welcome while meeting your fellow travellers and being briefed by Kontrei Traveller on our tourism concept and by the guide on the itinerary.
Day 2: DBB We start touring via the Swartland region to Citrusdal, Clanwilliam and Van Rhynsdorp - the southern tip of Namakwaland.
The flowers typical of the Gifberg and Knersvlakte region will be explained during a guided visit to the local nursery.
After Vanrhynsdorp via Van Rhyns Pass a totally different experience awaits you. The Mediterranean region of Nieuwoudtville will welcome you with Proteas and the highest density and diversity of bulb plants in the world. You are in fact in the "Bulb Kingdom of the World".
Arrive late afternoon at your authentic renovated accommodation in town. Accommodation in houses are self catering. No room service but breakfast and dinner included.
Home cooked local food (Kontreikos) from the place served with local charm.
Day 3: DBB After breakfast start your day with a conducted tour by a local specialist guide and learn about making a living while caring and conserving natural and local human capital.
You can choose from various options for filling your day with experiences of another diversity of plants, geological formations, blue skies, hiking, nature reserves or Rock art sites.
Your experience will be completed with another Kontreikos menu.
Day 4: DBB After breakfast turn back for a guided hike on the Knersvlakte on the way to Garies.
Leave after breakfast and drive stop-start and enter the Namakwaland region at Nuwerus and follow the N7 via Bitterfontein to Garies.
Arrive late afternoon at Garies. Home cooked dinner by local hosts. Hear the latest news on flowers from the well informed Garies Padstal and plan for experiencing Namakwaland plants species so much different from the Knersvlakte and Nieuwoudtville plants.
Day 5: DBB Start after breakfast for the visit to the Namakwa National Park near Skilpad, the Kamiesberg high mountains or the sandveld region to Hondeklipbaai. Stop- start for up close experiences of the diversity.
Dinner is experiencing a Namakwaland braai and while comparing notes, hear more stories from your Namakwaland hosts.
Day 6: DBB We start our journey back to Cape Town via Vanrhynsdorp and Clanwilliam with visits to a nature reserve and a rooibos tea estate with an inclusive, conducted tour. We follow the Sandveld roads to arrive late afternoon at your West Coast working farm accommodation.
Day 7: B Allow time for last minute experiences and travel to Cape Town by booking an afternoon flight for returning home or to your next destination.
