Mount Ceder is situated in the Cederberg Conservancy Wilderness Area, in a valley surrounded by the Cederberg and Koue Bokkeveld Mountains. Located on Grootrivier Farm, across the main route through the Cederberg, approximately 95-km north of Ceres and south of Clanwilliam, it forms the Southern Gateway into the Cederberg Conservancy.

Mount Ceder is a working farm both sides of the Grootrivier. The river offers swimming, canoeing and fishing opportunities for biking and hiking bridal trails are available as well as 4x4 trails. There are nine self-catering luxury cottages, with 21 bedrooms (in total), providing accommodation to suit, whilst the Old Millhouse Restaurant where you can enjoy mouth-watering, farm-style meals. Breakfasts, dinners and formal meals need to be booked in advance. A small country shop available. There are fireplaces inside and braai facilities outside each cottage.
- Firewood available for purchase.
- Cleaning services on request.
- All cottages are fully equipped with bedding, towels and fully operational kitchen.
- No pets allowed.
