Ganora Guest Farm For An African Karoo-Style Quad Biking Experience Or Fossil Tour
Ganora GuestFarm is situated 58 km from Graaff-Reinet on the N9 and 7 km from Nieu Bethesda and the well-known Karoo National Park in the Great Karoo Heartland. The guesthouse is just 680 km from Cape Town and 250 km from Port Elizabeth, making it ideally situated for a visit during an adventure tour through South Africa.

The real feel of the Ganora guest farm comes with a stay in Khoisan Cottage. Originally a sheep kraal, and then a labourer's home, Ganora's converted labourer's guest cottage is sited against two rocky hillsides and overlooks the farm's horses, wool sheds, geese, goats, and cattle.
You can also opt to stay in one of a number of en-suite guest rooms.
You can participate in farm activities, enjoy a dip in the farm reservoir - "a genuine Karoo swimming pool!" - or go walking, have an African quad bike riding experience or go horse riding. Meals with the family or in your cottage are available if you choose not to self-cater. Hester will deliver a light or a full breakfast, and supper.

Ganora Guest Farm is owned and managed by merino sheep farmers Hester and JP Steynberg, who bought their 4000-hectare Karoo Dohne Merino sheep farm and moved here six years ago. Along with sons, Louis and Renier - your hosts at this wonderful working sheep farm - they will provide you with an opportunity to gain an understanding and an appreciation of the Great Karoo while touring South Africa. Hester as well as JP take seriously their role as caretakers of the past and educators for the future. With their in-depth knowledge of the area, they will take you on specialised day trips and adventures on the farm and surroundings.
