The reserve of Farm 215 is located on the Fynbos Road, the 100km stretch from the birding hotspot of Stanford to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost point of the African continent in the Agulhas National Park. The Fynbos Road meanders through a landscape with the highest density of localized and endemic plant species in the world. About 2,5 hour drive from Cape Town and 20km from Gansbaai and Walker Bay, in the Southern Overberg Region and is the best whale watching & Great white shark diving area in the world. Farm 215 is reached by a 15-20 minute drive on a dirt road accessible to all vehicles.

Farm 215 is a nature reserve and retreat in the Heart of the Southern Overberg with guesthouse accommodation and self-catering accommodation. The mood is relaxed and intimate with spacious rooms that enjoy breath-taking vistas.
There are two guest-rooms on the first floor of the homestead. Separated by a hall, these rooms are spacious and light and enjoy endless views from the bed over this unspoilt part of the Overberg through large sash-windows.
The cottage is a recently renovated 19th century Overberg clay-brick house. As such it has -compared to either the fynbos suites or the homestead rooms- a rustic feel, but the cottage has every required level of comfort. At a distance of 500 m from the homestead it is the most isolated accommodation in the reserve, but it is accessible by car.
A newly built restaurant with bar and sliding door to the terrace over the whole length, a solar power heated lap-pool of 25 m in length. Fine cuisine, with the accent on local dishes and good Cape-wines will be served and where you enjoy it most. If you wish to swallow an immense feel of nature, space, compromising on luxury and culinary requirements, Farm 215 is just the place for you. Shiatsu messages available. Full private hospital at Hermanus, 35 km away. Doctors, dentist and chemist at Gansbaai, 9 km away, 24 hrs a day.

Description Of Units
All units have:
- fireplace or woodstove | ceiling fan | cd player | coffee and tea making facilities | gowns | soap, shampoo and lotions made from fynbos-ingredients.
- bathroom with bath and separate shower
- 100% cotton percale linen and goose/duck down bedding
Fynbos Suites (3x)
Large freestanding units spaced out (75 meters apart) along a meandering path. Three spaces (lounge with fireplace / sleeping / bathing ) in open connection (but separated by walls). Comfortable leather chair and sofa. Large covered deck with deck chairs and sun-deck. Two fynbos suites with kingsize bed, one with twin-beds in kingsize frame. The fybos-suites are purely electrified by state-of-the-art solar-power resulting in one minor concession to the level of luxury and comfort (you cannot use a hair-dryer).
Suite Homestead (1x)
Ground-floor suite with covered verandah and private garden. Lounge with big fireplace, leather sofa and chair. King size bed, study table, bathroom with bath and separate double-headed shower. Separate toilet.
Rooms Homestead (2x)
Spacious rooms on the first floor of old homestead heated by woodstoves . One room with kingsize bed, one room with twin bed in kingsize-frame. Study table and comfortable chair. One room with large balcony.

Farm 215-nature retreat & fynbos reserve is owned by New Line Investments (pty) Ltd. Six South African and European shareholders own new Line, all friends of each other. Maarten Groos and Henki le Roux are the only shareholders that live and work on farm 215.
Farm 215 exists out of two bordering properties, each of 400 ha: "Koudeberg" (Cold Mountain) and "Hartebeeskloof" (Gorge of the Hartebees). Both properties (together with what are now two small holdings) used to be "farm 215" in the past.
