KONTREI TRAVELLER, PAARL - The annual Christmas Market in the Franschoek Town Hall from 30 October to 8 November 2009 promises lots of interesting bargains from Barbie furniture to African games and chocolate.

And on 24 and 25 October, also in Franschhoek, visitors can view the wide variety of roses of the Rose Exibition at the Huguenot Memorial Museum.

Visitors to the Christmas Market will be pleased to know that credit card facilities will be available.

Parking is available across the road under the oak trees on the grounds of the historic Dutch Reformed Church - itself worth a visit - with clean rest rooms at the Church Hall. The Market will be open from 09h00 - 18h00 daily and on Sundays from 11h00 - 16h00.

Franschhoek village with its wonderful scenery is only a short drive from other popular, historic destinations such as Paarl and Stellenbosch.
