Blackwaters River Lodge *** lies on the banks of the Goukamma River, in the Goukamma Valley, 10 km's from Knysna village and 8 km's from Buffels Bay great bathing beach and 500 km from Cape Town. In other words: Blackwaters River lodge is the perfect getaway to relax and enjoy all the Garden Route has to offer.

2 x Deluxe Suites, upstairs in main house, with balconies overlooking the Goukamma River and the forest, both with fireplaces.
1 x family suite: 2 bedroom suite, with a lounge full bathroom and fireplace. One double bedded room and one twin bedded.
5 x Luxury standard twin Suites in the garden complex. All have full en-suite bathroom and private verandas. One room with separate lounge with a sleeper coach. 3 rooms with light self-catering facilities. 1 x standard room upstairs in main house, shower-en-suite. 1 x small but cozy twin room in garden, with veranda, shower en-suite.
All rooms are serviced daily, have overhead fans, televisions, hairdryers, coffee / tea facilities, hot blankets and heaters.
At the main house, you will enjoy a hearty Continental Buffet breakfast of fresh and stewed fruits, assorted cereals, cold meats and cheeses, a variety of breads. Freshly baked muffins, scones or crumpets. Fresh fruit juices, coffee/tea. Eggs and bacon available on request.
Home cooked evening 3-course meals include traditional fair, marinated Game fillets, and fish / meat braais, by prior arrangement only. Picnic baskets on request.

The lodge is set in 3 ha of manicured gardens with well-established marked trees for easy identification and surrounded by the black waters of the Goukamma River with spectacular views of the neighboring indigenous forest. Birdlife is prolific, with trees having been planted especially to attract them to our gardens. 30% (78 species of Garden Route birds can be seen or heard throughout the year at Blackwaters River Lodge.
The setting is unique, and visitors do love seeing the night skies of the Southern Hemisphere as the reflection of the lights of Knysna do not affect the Lodge surroundings.
Blackwaters is able to offer their guests more activities on site than any other establishment in Knysna: Canoeing on the river, mashie golf, swimming pool, bird watching and picnic facilities at the River's edge.

1. PAYMENT:
A deposit of 1st nights accommodation will secure your reservation. Deposits are non-refundable. OVERSEAS AGENTS MUST ADD 1,0% OF TOTAL AMOUNT FOR BANKING FEES. Accounts to be settled in full 30 days prior to arrival unless alternative arrangements have been agreed to in writing.
2. CANCELLATION FEES:
28-14 Days prior to arrival: 50% of full account
14-0 Days prior to arrival: 100% of full account
