Word of Mouth!
Recent testimonials from our visitors
Email from France
Hi! SA friends!
I am just a French historian preparing a paper to be read, next July, at PMB campus. Congratulation! You have a very nice and interesting website. It really makes one feel like catching the first aircraft and fly over!
I was last at Saldanha in 2002, when I read a paper at the Military/Navy Academy. I spent there a wonderfull day. I sincerely hope that your country (which, in my heart is also mine) goes better and better again.
Very kind regards.

Letter from London
"I can't express in words how wonderful our stay at Papkuilsfontein was. The only problem was the brevity of our stay, oh how i wished we had booked a whole week..!"

"I had a great time. Did far more than I planned which was no bad thing after such a long journey - it would've been a shame just to sit by the pool for a week! There was possibly too much planned and I'd like to have had more time to do the same amount of stuff, but that was my schedule not yours. The whale trip was the best..."

Weekend Visitors, October 2008
"On reflection one is unable to describe the beauty of the area, the vastness and majesty of the open plains and mountains, the fauna, and the magical accomadation is something that very few will ever experience. A truly unforgetable moment in life."

Visitor During The Flower Season, August, September 2008
"What can I say about such an awesome place!
Personally, it was spiritually reviving and made me very aware of how small and insignificant
I am in such vastness.I loved the peace and quiet. So restful.
I enjoyed the simplicity of the huts. We have so much clutter in our every day lives.
The ablution facilites are unique and served their purpose without being luxurious.
The store room has everything you need and the boma is a great gathering place.
It would have been more convenient to have the storeroom closer to the boma and having
a solid wall or door on the wind side of the boma would help a lot to keep the cold wind out.
But neither of these are big concerns.
Paving the ground around the tap at the washup with local rocks would help as it can get a
bit muddy with constant use.
Arrie is wonderful. What an interesting, informative and gentle man. I so enjoyed his wealth
of local knowledge.
The scenery is spectacular and the drive from the highest point to the lowest gives one an
idea of the variety of nature in the different areas - an interesting experience.
What a bonus to have been there with all the flowers in bloom. It was a feast for the eyes."
