South Africa's West Coast is a popular tourist destination, rich in contrasts. With its wild flower season stretching from August till mid September, this area is a paradise for nature lovers. Saldanha Bay is one of the most well-known towns in the heart of the West Coast.
Situated a mere 90 minute drive from Cape Town, Saldanha Bay is a central location from where the whole West Coast area can be explored. Avondrust Guest House can be found in the center of Saldanha Bay, on Hoedjieskop Nature Reserve. This four star guest house overlooks the Bay area and is within walking distance from the shops, restaurant and of course, the beach.

En-Suite Rooms
These rooms all have private entrances. Inside you will find every modern convenience you may need. Among these you will find a television, hairdryer, bar fridge and coffee & tea making facilities. The decor is a charming mix of European antique and African styles.
Honeymoon Suite
This spacious room also has its own private entrance. The bathroom with bath is generously sized. A separate shower is also available. The antique furniture decor adds further to the romantic atmosphere. This sea view unit is serviced daily.
Self-catering Family Cottage
Two rooms are offered, sharing 1 bathroom. The kitchenette is fully equipped. The television will probably not see much of you, due to all the attractions in the vicinity! A soccer table has been added for additional entertainment. The patio is sea facing. There is a barbeque outside and you will have the use of the swimming pool.
Telephone, fax and internet services are also on site. Avondrust Guest House even offers a conference room large enough for a group of 15. The kids will enjoy the swimming pool, while strolls in the evergreen garden is good for the soul. Delicious full breakfasts are served in the dining room, while other meals can be provided on demand. You will also find a curio shop on the premises, filled with African art.
